Doing your Hyderabad home interiors from abroad: how it works

New homes · H Hue Design Studio, Nanakramguda

Many people buy a home in Hyderabad while living somewhere else. It is entirely possible to get it done well from a distance, if the process is set up for it.

What changes when you are not here

You cannot drop by the site to check a detail, so the work depends on clear drawings, clear decisions and someone trustworthy on the ground. The studio you choose has to be organised, not just talented.

How to set it up

  1. Start with a video call to walk through your brief, your family and how you will use each room.
  2. Get a full set of drawings and 3D views for the main rooms, and sign off room by room.
  3. Choose materials from samples shown on video, or have someone you trust see them in person.
  4. Agree a line-by-line quote with payments tied to visible milestones.
  5. Ask for regular photo and video updates from site, and a fixed weekly time to talk.
  6. Plan the handover: who receives the keys, who checks the snag list, and when you will next be in the country.

What to look for in a studio

Look for a studio that takes full responsibility, from design to handover, so you have one point of contact instead of managing contractors across time zones. Turnkey projects are usually the right fit. Read turnkey interiors explained.

Some of our clients live abroad and trust us to run their home from start to handover. Our studio is in Nanakramguda, close to the Financial District, Gachibowli, Narsingi and Kokapet.
